THE BEFORE

Starting at the sides, gently flick the clippers out keeping at a low level to ensure you keep length on top. Avoid creating any harsh lines.

Continue working in this manner around to the back, continue to flick the clippers out at the taper line of the haircut.

Remove bulk using a clipper-overcomb technique using a Denman DPC4 cutting comb at around a 45 degree angle.

Spray down and use neat sections to cut the top to desired length. Ensure you keep the length slightly longer at the front and connect to the sides.

Starting at the crown, use the previously cut top sections as your guide and work in orange segment sections to connect the back and sides.

Use scissor over comb to refine the blend at the sides and cross check the cut for balance.

Refine and clean up the hairline using trimmers.

To finish, blow dry into place using a Denman D200 Skeleton Vent Brush to create volume and root lift and polish the shape.
