CLASSIC CUT STEP-BY-STEP
01 Apply American Crew Prep & Prime Tonic. Place a high horseshoe parting from the top of the recession at the front hairline and tilting below the crown in the back. As the head rounds, suspend the blade away and use clipper-over-comb for scalp coverage at the top of zone 1.
02 Use the clipper with clipper-overcomb techniques to create a tall, lean shape on the bottom half of the head. Anchor and pivot the clipper head to create a high taper. As the head rounds, suspend the blade away and use clipper-over-comb for scalp coverage at the top of zone 2.
03 Take a T-shape parting sectioning off the top. Start on the dominant side, create a vertical high facet. Elevate out from the centre of the section. Pointcut at a sawtooth angle with moderate depth. Over-direct the front sections towards the ear to retain length. Repeat on the-other side.
04 Connect the top in three large sections. Point-cut with the shear at a moderate depth. Alternate the targets with each section.
05 ACed TIP: Alternating the target when point cutting will force a zig zag texture into the hair, making the top lay forwards. You can use this technique to correct unwanted direction in the hair.
06 DETAIL AND FINISH: Detail the front with three wide sections. Using the razor at a simple angle remaining shallow to the ends, target the centre section up in the area of support. Target the outer sections down.
THE AFTER
07 STYLE: Blow-dry American Crew Alternator into the hair for a pliable hold. Finish with Fiber for a high hold and low shine.
