PETE CRANFIELD, BABYLISS PRO AMBASSADOR, REVEALS THE SIX STEPS FOR A 90S INSPIRED LOW TAPER HAIRCUT

STEP ONE
When working with hair this length I always start out the same way. First step is to create a horseshoe-shaped parting to make the rest of the haircut much easier.
STEP TWO
Using your clippers, remove the bulk from the back and sides of the head and start the taper process. I used my BaByliss PRO CustomFX Clippers for this - they’re super sharp and powerful, so great for removing large volumes of hair!
STEP THREE
Go in with your trimmers and foilers to get a close finish and smooth transition into the taper. I’m using the BaByliss PRO CustomFX Skeleton Trimmer with the exposed 360 blade, and my CustomFX Foil Shaver here too.
STEP FOUR
Using a club cutting technique on top, remove bulk from the top of the head using your clippers rather than scissors, this makes the process quicker and more precise.
STEP FIVE
Add some texture into the top of the hair to support the shape and enhance the look. Tidy up the neckline using the foilers.
STEP SIX
Dry the hair into a style using a warm heat setting on a slow speed. Once finished, use a shot of cold air to lock in the shape of the style and to close the cuticle of the hair, before adding in some styling product for hold and to enhance the texture.
