What are you six things that are inspiring you right now?

“My favourite trend right now is embracing natural textures and working with it. I love the aspect of making hair look imperfect and using textured hair to express itself in an art form.”

BERLIN

Whenever I go to Berlin, I get creatively inspired by everyone. Most of the haircuts are imperfect and it comes with such grit, which I just love.

“Right now, I’m building on my own taste within other people I look up to in the industry, and finding what excites me about hair.”

I love how they photograph hair and give meaning behind everything they do – their magazine constantly features thought provoking images.

My favourite fashion designer by far. I love her authenticity to herself and British culture, her choice of models and being unapologetically herself.

Aside from hair, I’m interested in culture magazines – they inspire me creatively. I love how fashion now combines subcultures with people adding their own twist. This magazine highlights women in such an empowering way and gives representation within the community.

When looking at a career in session hair and mood boards to create for myself, Gary’s work always inspires me. I love how in his fashion week shows, everything is done with intention without looking like it is.

Joe Mills has constantly pushed me to carry out challenges in a way that directs my vision. Matthew Tharp, has been an amazing mentor, teaching me the way in the session world, and Hair by Trina, was one of the first hairdressers I’d ever seen working with textured hair - she has constantly taken the time to teach and talk me through what she does.
