BARBER SESSIONS STAGE

POD 1

ALEX BURT 10:30-11:15

“I’ll be demonstrating how you can achieve high attention to detail, create structure and deliver a first-class experience all whilst being relaxed and enjoying your work. As ambassador for Matakki, I’ll also be demonstrating scissor techniques that can remove the complexity of unnecessary processes but still deliver an outcome that your clients will love.”

DAN BURNETT 11:30-12:15

“I’ll be doing a salon-friendly scissor cut that looks awesome and is easy for your clients to style day in, day out. We’re getting a lot of requests for longer styles these days and it is so important to be able to deliver a great cut with your scissors.”

MARIE RAINSFORD 12:30-1:15

“I will be talking about The DFS Formula and how it’s helping so many people reach their potential in cutting. I’ll also share how I got into the industry and will be giving details about some up-coming courses we have at op45official.”

CARLIE CARDLE 1:45-2:30

“I’ll be showcasing how we can upsell and provide more services in barbershops to boost our profits. I’ll be demonstrating a scalp treatment and head massage, and maybe a facial, to show how additional services can increase not only shop owners’ profits, but also barber’s retail profits.”

ELETTRA GUGGERI 2:45-3:30

“I’m going to be focusing on longer lengths, showing my approach to a current hair trend. I’ll also be talking about the importance of delivering a tailored haircut and personalisation through styling products.”

ERIC WAY LOVEMORE 3:45-4:30

“I’ll be demoing a contemporary medium-length gents’ haircut: the deconstructed disconnected style. Highlighted with subtle flashes of colour using invisible hair extensions, it’s a modern twist on a classic. Clean, sharp fade lines frame the perimeter, resulting in a shaggy yet refined look.”

POD 2

BEN PEARCY 10:30-11:15

“I’m excited to be showcasing a taper with a pattern. I won the Student category of Modern Barber’s Raw Talent Barbering Competition in 2023, so it just goes to show how far entering competitions can get you.”

SID DA BARBER 11:30-12:15

“I’m planning on showcasing a highly textured men’s haircut – I’m thinking something along the lines of a round layered textured cut. This will be done entirely with scissors, I’m going for the rock ‘n’ roll vibe.”

DALE HINCE 12:30-1:15

“I have a great model lined up and will be working with Matakki scissors, using lots of layering and texturising techniques.”

DEONE LUKE 1:45-2:30

“I’m excited to demonstrate a contemporary, low-maintenance haircut that’s perfect for clients to style at home. Expect a blend of classic and trendy elements, focusing on simplicity and versatility. I’ll highlight easy techniques and tips for achieving a stylish, polished look with minimal effort.”

CHARLIE VENN 2:45-3:30

“My speciality is classic haircuts – pompadours, side parts and slick backs – and incorporating these styles into more modern, wearable looks for my clients. You can expect to see me working mainly with scissors, to create modern styles with a classic twist, with added texture and flow.”

SAM CAMPAGNA 3:45-4:30

“I’ll be leading a demo on shaping with a razor, while also diving into why visuals are just as crucial as the sections.”
